My Trout Fishing Experience – A Lesson On How To Generate Network Marketing Leads For Your Business

Learning how to generate Network marketing leads for your home business, is the key to your success in this industry.

I love trout, and I love trout fishing, though my skill in this regard is far from acceptable. A trout fishing experience got me thinking about how to generate network marketing leads.

Not too long ago, I went trout fishing with an experienced angler. We spent hours following a meandering river and just casting our lines along the way.

While I was just throwing in my line and hoping for the best, my angler friend seemed to be taking professional trout fishing to another level. After a couple of hours of fishing, he had more trout fish than I care to mention, and I had absolutely none.

How Did He Catch So Many Fish, And I Had None?

I asked my angler friend what he knew that I didn’t, or if he shared some code with the fish. This was just too much for me to take.

How was I to explain the fact that I had actually gone fishing too?

He told me that I was fishing with one hand tied behind my back. In my eyes, this was all about casting my line into the river and hoping for the best. Apparently, that wasn’t the case.

Successful Trout Fishing – There Is A Method.

He began educating me about trout fishing. He told me how one must try different spots along the river, change line colour and the bait, and the fish will come my way. The most important thing, he told me, was to understand how trout fish think. This totally amazed me; I mean, who on earth goes to such lengths?

To catch buckets of trout fish with ease, he reiterated, I must understand:

  1. How they think
  2. When they travel
  3. Why they travel
  4. What they’re afraid of
  5. What motivates them
  6. What attracts them

I thought all this was a little too complicated for something as simple as trout fishing. However, the fact that he had lots of fish from this trip, and I had none, meant I had to listen.

He explained that the more I understand trout behaviour, the easier it will be for me to catch them. They’re scared away by noise. They can see me when I want to catch them. They will respond when the correct line colour is used. There is some thought that goes to the fishing equipment. They love certain specific food. My mindset and how I deal with frustration will affect my actions when fishing for trout.

What an education I got. All this knowledge was the difference between going home empty-handed and leaving with a bucket full of trout fish.

So How Does My Trout Fishing Experience Help You To Generate Network Marketing Leads?

Ok, ok….so you want to generate network marketing leads, and not fish for trout right? Well, I’ll explain how this all fits together.

Perhaps you generate network marketing leads online. Perhaps you’re in a situation where you pitch your business opportunity to everyone and hope to catch the perfect prospect that’s in tune with your business opportunity and understands the commitment involved in building a Network Marketing business.

Maybe you spread the word to everyone you come across, whether online or offline, and hope they join your business. Some will, some won’t, and some will definitely look at you funny.

With the countless number of network marketing opportunities out there, what will differentiate you from your competition? Why should any prospect come out of hiding and take to your bait and join you?

To get this process started, before you can even generate Network Marketing leads, it’s important that you find your target market. Where do they hang out? Online, they converge in forums, they form groups, etc. Be a part of these groups and forums and participate. Get to know the people there. Make friends with them. Get to know them and understand them and what they want.

Find out what motivates them and what brings them out, and give them what they want. Get this right, and you can cast your line and start fishing for prospects that are in tune with your message. Prospects that are committed to growing a Network Marketing business. Prospects who don’t ask you if it’s a pyramid scheme, or for you to justify to them my Network Marketing makes sense. Prospects that will not look at your funny when you say you are in the business of helping people.

Are you fishing with one hand tied behind your back? Are you fishing in the right place and under the right conditions? Do you have the right bait, and do you understand your prospects and what motivates them? Are you getting quality home based business leads? Get these things right, and you’ll be able to generate network marketing leads each and every day and moving towards your network marketing success.
